Doing the "Do Good Do Right" Cha-cha - July 2025

The first six months of 2025 found us “doing the cha-cha: two steps forward and one back.” So true yet hard to admit, as is so often the case with organizations doing humanitarian work anywhere. At times the work is exhilarating and at others, rather exhausting.

In one moment, we witness liberating breakthroughs in self-realization: “I did it! I never thought it possible,” says a promoter after climbing up a steep rock incline during a training exercise, or “I have never thought about my roots as an Indigenous person before,” says another during a circle discussion...
